I am aware that taking vitals is inclusive in a physician E/M code, however, we have a question concerning psychiatric codes. AIMS testing and vitals are often included with the 90862, medication management. And it stands to reason that it is inclusive in psychiatric codes 90801 and 90802 as well. Can anyone substantiate this reasoning?
