Hello, I have questions regarding billing discharge notes for nursing home patients. Our providers are external providers who come to the nursing homes to see patients for psychiatric and psychological services. We know that the nursing homes are using 99315 and 99316 to discharge patients from their care. My question is can we also use the same codes but use the AH, AJ, SA, or HE modifiers to differentiate our providers. We were also thinking of using code 90889 to bill the discharge summary if the other option is not ok. Please advise.
