I have a licensed therapist that spent 150 minutes with a patient. Is there a prolonged service code I can bill for the extra time spent? I'm looking at the 90837 which is 60 minutes for the initial service. Is there an add on code available?
 
See prolonged service codes 99354–99357. These codes don't list 90837 as a potential base code, but that was an error in 2013. Per the 2013 errata document posted on the AMA's website, 90837 can be used as a base code for the 99354–99357 add-on codes.
