If a patient is discharged, but admitted again the very next day for the same issue, what would you do?

A discharge the day they were discharged, then another H&P the next day?
Or turn that discharge into a regular visit (99231-99233) and continue on since it's the same diagnosis?
 
It would be a discharge and then an admit. If the patient left the hospital and no longer in the hospital, the facility would show the patient as leaving and then admit them again. The physician should be doing the same thing
 
Not sure where exactly, but could have sworn if it's the same diagnosis, you would do a whole other H&P. (???)
