Anyone have information on PT/INR coding/billing? We are a professional provider that seeing patients in SNF/ALF setting. We have a few residents that are in this long term setting and we are the patient PCP. We are looking to bill for the INR monitoring. My question is on the G0249 and 93793. We would want to bill for the supplies and monitoring and we tend to get calls to the on call provider for INR levels which we believe we would be able to bill the 93793.
So we would be able to bill the G0249 monthly (based on the monitoring) and then the 93793 would be on a review of the INR results.
Am I missing something as I have seen billing for 85610 as well.
This is still new to me and I'm trying to figure all of this out but we keep seeing different codes and no real documentation as our setting is different. We go to the patient in the SNF/ALF and no in office patient visits.
