I have pt assistant under the direction of the physical therapist
15 min whirlpool(97022)
10 min therapeutic massage(97110)
8 min ice packs(97010)
5 more min of therapautic exercises (97110)

total of 30 (I believe 2 units)
My question is do I use all the CPT codes- 97124,97022,97010,97110 and which CPT would I put the units on and do I use a modifier 52 after each cpt code?:confused:
 
Because you totalled the minutes and only have 2 units, I would bill the top 2 therapeutic procedures with the most time. In your case it would be one unit of 97022 and one unit of 97110. The other 2 services would not be billed. This rule based on time & these procedures are in our LCD, which you may want to double check for your state before you bill.
