I am coding a ED report, and on of the boxes are marked under the PMH for PVD. Would I code this with a V code (non HCC) or the 443.9 code? They aren't addressing this issue at the time, just chest pain, but I have had several ppl tell me different answers if this can be picked up or not. What about AAA in the same place as the above senario? Thanks in advance!
 
AAA and PVD

You are not going to be able to capture the hcc as it has not been evaluated and treated. All hcc need to have a MEAT . The only hcc you can capture from PMH are DM, MI and Alzheimer's as they are chronic conditions.
