Hi, I was wondering how you would handle if a provider states that both posterior tibial pulse and dorsalis pedis pulse are absent, but they were able to find one pulse using a doppler. Does this could as two class b findings or just one since they could locate one using the doppler?
 
In assigning class findings related to pulses, manual palpation is appropriate. What is found on doppler is a separate or in "addition to" finding and good medicine in determining definitive diagnosis of peripheral artery disease, and abnormal or uncertain findings should be confirmed with objective vascular testing.
