i have always been taught that whether a physician may or may not be able to answer a query we should still query for specificity. Example querying a hospitalist for Atrial Fibrillation specificity or dementia specificity. I have always done it and 99% of the time get an answer. Now I have been told not to query because they assume they can't answer it.
