I have a general question for everyone. Who all in here is responsible for filing out secondary claims? For example, the payment poster will post the primary payments, then you go back in and bill them out.

Not me. I think that process is mostly automated in our system once the primary payment is posted. If there's any manual work to get the secondary bill out the door, then that department handles it.

I never touch secondary claims.
 
Not I ;) Balances are put in the secondary insurance bucket during payment posting and automatically flagged for billing by our PM system. Any paper claims or resubmissions for secondary billing are handled by our Accounts Receivable team.
