Procedure Performed:
Band Fill with Fluoroscopy
DESCRIPTION OF PROCEDURE:
Consent was obtained. A moment of safety was observed. The patient was placed supine position on the fluoro table. Safety strap was engaged. The area over the port was cleaned and anesthetized. Port was accessed sterilely with fluoroscopic guidance. The patient was then placed in standing position. The band appeared to be in good position, slight anterior tilt but overall in good position. She had 2.4 mL in her band. Her maximum previously was 3.8. We filled successfully up to 3.4 mL. At that point, she had adequate restriction but no obstruction. Needle was removed, Band-Aid applied.
The patient tolerated procedure well.
Post procedure diet was discussed with the patient. Will see patient back in the office in 2 weeks.
