We have a patient brought into the ED upon a welfare check from the local police. The patient's insurance denied our claim for services the diagnosis was I73.9 and Z88.0
with CPT Codes 99282 and 99281. Is there payable code for a welfare check initiated by police?
 
Here's a question that's just about always asked on these forums. What was the reason on the denial? That'll help us help you figure it out.

NON COVERG CHARGES, At least one remark code must be provided. NCPDP reject reason code or Remittance Advice Remark Code that is not an ALERT.
