Hello,

I have a quick question on MediCal fee schedule update. For HCPCS code, P9023, there's a change in rate in the fee schedule for Mar 15,2022 but when the rate changed the procedure type has changed to "I"- injections from HCPCS code. Please see the attachment. It also says it's a non-covered code. Can anyone help me in interpreting the attachment?

This is a link (Medi-Cal) from the Medi-Cal's most recently updated document regarding this section of codes. I would say they're just changing the procedure type to an injection, I've seen this happen often here in Ohio with certain codes as well.
