Is this primarily used for cardiac clearance issues only or when I have space, should it always be included? Our dr circles any use of anti coagulants, and we were told by another coder this isn't necessary.:)
 
Not sure what your question really is, but if you are asking if you need to use this for preoperative clearance, no, unless the patient is using anticoagulants on a longterm basis, and then a Pt/Ptt would probably be ordered, so you would want to use this for medical necessity. Hope that helps....
