How to decide which diagnosis to list under which etiology or if it’s just the coder’s discretion (say if the patient had Agitation, Depression and Generalized Anxiety Disorder). In their response from a previous question I asked they listed the Depression under Alzheimer’s and the Vascular, and the Anxiety under Parkinson’s. Do you list Alzheimer's and the Parkinson's with Agitation, Depression and Generalized Anxiety disorder, and then the Vascular Dementia with with Agitation, Depression and Generalized Anxiety disorder. Thank you in advance.
