If we go to a SNF facility and see two patients; one is on Part B the other Part A, do we bill the part B as R0070 or R0075 UN?

The SNF bills Part A for the trip on that patient, but CH. 13 of the Medicare Claims Proc. Manual section 90.3 states "when more than one Medicare patient is x-rayed at the same location... bill R0075".

Technically they are both Medicare patients and I want to make sure we are doing this right. THANKS!!

Is the facility billed for the transportation component for the part A patient? I used to bill for portable x-ray, and if more than 1 patient was seen, we billed R0075 with the appropriate modifier, regardless of the insurance coverage / part A or B status of the patient.

Have a great day!
