My doctor did a "exploratory laparotomy, modified radical hysterectomy, right salpingo-oophorectomy, bilateral pelvic lymphadencectomy, with partial omentectomy for malignant neoplasm of left ovary. I know there is 58951 that includes the omentectomy, but that specifies "total abdominal hysterectomy", not radical. So I'm leaning towards 58210, although it does not specify for cancer. However, I'm having trouble finding a code that would include the omentectomy. Is anyone familiar on this situation? Does the omentectomy not necessarily need to be billed in this case. Would modifier 22 be appropriate? Please help. I am very new to these. I just started coding this group yesterday.

I would code that as 58210. The omentectomy 49255 is bundled, so -22 is not appropriate. Especially since you are doing pelvic lymphadenectomy, but not para-aortic.
