Hello,

I am trying to determine whether it is appropriate for a Radiologist to code an E&M code for counseling done post-mammography or post-breast biopsy.

These services are generally coded based on counseling time. I cannot find any reference that states whether this is correct or incorrect.

To my knowledge Medicare does not pay for E/Ms for Radiologists anymore... I was also in a United Health Care conference and they stated the same thing.
