Wondering if anyone has opinions on the code for a rapid COVID test. The practice I work for is CLIA certified for the testing. We have been using code 87635 and has been getting denied. I spoke with Medicare and said we were using the incorrect code. Of course they will not provide you with the correct code. I have had a suggestion of using the U0002.

We use lab test 87811 with dx J98.8 (not U01 dx ) and Z11.52 when testing for possibility of Covid 19. It works fine
