Re: Medicaid vaccination NPC codes
We have 2 insurance companies that require an NDC code for our medicaid claims for each vaccine that was administered. Apparently the code will not show up on electronic claims so I am printing a HCFA and writing in each code on the form and mailing them out for reimbursement. Has anyone experienced this so far? It became eff 1/1/2013 when the new way of coding vaccines for well child visits which includes the admin vaccination codes came out. Surely there is a much more effective way to do this.
