regulations or penalties re: double booking of patients

Is anyone aware of any regulations or cases where providers were penalized for double booking office visits? What I've found so far in my research is either related to double-booking of surgeries or the impact it has on patient relations. I'm only aware of penalties being applied secondarily when providers were found to be billing for excessive visits, usually in relation to incident-to billing.

Never heard of any laws prohibiting this. If airlines can do it, I don't see why providers can't.

Thanks. I don't think that's a law I would want to try to enforce anyway!
