Hello AAPC Members! I am evaluating the compensation for sending our hospital coding staff home to code remotely. Can anyone share their actual pay per chart and/or hourly wage for the following types: ER (to include Fac E&M), Outpatients, Recurring Therapy, Same Day Surgery and Inpatient. I am looking at a compensation plan to include hourly with stds met then, pay per chart to increase the incentive to complete charts per day. Thank you for sharing your data. I woudl be happy to return the favor for anyone else looking for stats from a 700 bed teaching hospital - approx 80,000 ER visits per year and avg daily census at 500. Thank you!!
