I am new to anesthesia coding and the senior coder just resigned. I am now being bombarded with questions I can't answer. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

Question#1
The anesthesiologist has approached me and asked if we can charge an additional base unit value for performing anesthesia at a remote location.

Question#2
Can we charge an additional unit for a "boogie" this is a gastric tube that is used during bariatric surgery.

If so how would I go about charging the additional unit. Is there a particular add on code for this or would appending a p3 modifier be substantial.
