Diskriter, a healthcare solutions company, is looking for a full time Medical-Outpatient Coder to work remote.
Summary of Job Duties: The Medical Coder assigns appropriate diagnostic codes according to established coding guidelines, audits medical record to validate that superbills have supporting documentation, and queries physicians when appropriate if documentation is found to be inadequate, ambiguous or unclear.
Certifications/Licensure: CPC, CCS, RHIA or RHIT preferred; ICD-10 Certification required
Required Experience: 2 or more years of medical coding experience
Required Skills:
• Ability to code utilizing ICD10-CM, ICD10-PCS, MS-DRG, APR-DRG and APC
• Ability to plan and organize effectively
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Working knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology
• Excellent computer skills
• Ability to work independently and be self-directed
