Patient has infected Total shoulder. Surgeon removes the Total shoulder implant.
Did an allograft cancellous bone grafting of the bone defect and an Antibiotic spacer.
My thoughts are 23332, 20902 and 11981. The report reads:
I irrigated and disimpacted the glenosphere and removed. The humeral component was loose and lifted out of its bed.I used a brush and irrigation to clean the canal and removed any cement. Because of evident infection, I elected to put in antibiotic spacer.I first used bone graft to try to fill in the defects that had been created by the wear of the implant & then I put in the anitbiotic spacer and used a cement that was an antibiotic-impregnated cement to help hold it in position.
Would like advise and suggestions. Thank you
