can anyone give me some insight on how would code for Zone 3 retroperitoneal exploraton with primary repair of left common iliac vein injury?
MD states:
Hemorrhage was noted from the common iliac vein. Once we had verified this we carefully dissected around the iliac vessels. We were able to pass a right angle clampl underneath the iliac artery which had a vessel looop passed for control. In a similar manner the proximal iliac vein was likewise had a vessel loop placed around it in a Potts formation. Using a 3-0 prolene suture a figure of eight suture was placed which provided definitive control.
having completed the repair of the iliac vessels, repair of the lieum as well as control of bleeding along the ileal mensentary and it showed that no other injuries were appreciable.....HELP!! Thank you!!!
