looking for coding help with repair nonunion navicular cuneiform joint.
Description reads: The area was examined and curettage and resection of hypertrophied bone was performed. There was significant hypertrophy of bone at the metatarsal cuneiform joint and soft bone and scar tissue without fusion at the navicular cuneiform joints. I then prepped the most proximal joint where the nonunion was with a curet, rongeur, and osteotome. It was then decided to perform a bone biopsy of the tarsal navicular bone to rule out avascular necrosis. This was Jamshidi needle bone biopsy. This was sent to pathology. The area was examined for other abnormalities and non could be found. I utilized autogenous bone graft from the hypertrophied bone area to pack the nonunion site.
I have 20220 for the needle biopsy but cannot find anything that fits the repair the nonunion. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
