Hi, I was needing to know if anyone is using code 49450 when the specialist is replacing a peg? We are not needing the fluoroscopy part though. Would we use this code when the doctor is doing this via EGD method? I am not thinking that we should, but think another code is more appropriate than 44372.
Thanks, Kathleen

I asked Cecile M. Katzoff, MGA, CGCS with the AGA this a few weeks ago and sent her the op note. She says to use 43246.
