So my doctors are doing their best to confuse me this week. So he previously did an arthrodesis 27870 & 28725 but the IM screw in the calcaneus backed out and was causing issues. He removed it in the office prior to surgery to replace it. I am looking at using 28899 for putting the new one in, but what would I compare it too? Closest I can find might be 28406- Percutaneous skeletal fixation of calcaneal fracture, with manipulation. Any ideas? Or is there a code I'm missing.
