We have received denials for CPT code 62141 even with modifier 59 and XU was used to unbundle. Has anyone had any success and appealing these for payment when they are denied bundled?

Hi the cranioplasty code is inclusive to the craniotomy. If the tumor eroded thru the bone and it had to be removed, then you can bill for the cranioplasty. This must be documented in the note.
