Good Morning Fellow Memebers,

When you have a signed authorization and request a patient's medical records, will it also include the chargeslip or does this have to be requested separately?

Separately

Medical Records would only have the patients Medical records as far as anything to do with billing and charges that will need to be requested thru the billing department.

Medical records does not include Financial records, those are separate. They can be requested at the same time, but must be listed individually on the request. There should be a really good reason for requesting the financial records, usually those requests come from lawyers. Another provider should not have reason to request the patient's financial records nor should an insurance company.
