Hi Team,

I need some clarification in Hospital Coding.If Resident done the procedure without MD involvement.In this Concept in Professional we are not able to Bill. For Facility also the same as followed in Professional or we can Bill??

I would like to add to this question, also professional. Does the teaching provider have to clearly identify s/he saw the patient on the same day as the resident? Ex. Resident saw patient 5/18/18 but provide did his part on 5/19/18 for his attestation and changes. I have always read the CMS guideline that the date of service billed must reflect on the providers note. So in the above example we would bill 5/19/18? Scenario 4 in the Medicare claims processing 100-04 transmittal 2303
