Does anyone know if the time the provider is spending with the resident to discuss the patient overall, should that amount of time be included for E/M?
 
hello, I am a new coder. To me- discussion with resident will be = Teaching and therefore, it should not be included into E/M service for reimbursement. Again, I am a new coder.
