Hello,

Can anyone direct me on this.

I was told that if the patient comes in for a follow up and doctor finds the condition is resolved then we can code the condition since we did not know it was resolved until the patient came back in.

Now with ICD 10 there is a Z09 code for resolved condition but read you need to follow that up with a Personal history code such as Z87.29 - Other Disease Musculoskeletal System and Connective Tissue

So do I code the Cellulitis (L03.11) and then do not code it again if he comes in for a follow up or do I code the Z09 with Z87.39

Any help is appreciated.
