How are you coding resolved otitis media or status post otitis media? We don't want to say that the patient still has OM if the recheck shows it is resolved.

Yes, I found that after I posted the question. Thanks for responding.

However, instructions for J09 says to also use additional code to identify any applicable history of disease code (Z86 - Z87). Therefore I am adding Z86.69 as it lists personal history of anything in G00-g99, H00-H95), which includes otitis media codes.

Am I correct?
