I am trying to find out how I can get paid on our Medicare patients that are same day referrals from another Ophthalmologist. They will find a retina tear and send same day to my Doctor. The office visit or eye exam code is denied for same day service. Is there a special code or modifier that I can use to get the office visit paid?
