Hello all -

I need help with a CPT code on this procedure. 14040 is what was billed but unsure if that is correct.

Post op dx: right index finger stump infection with extensive cyst formation
Procedure: revision of right index finger stump

Op report: Previous amputation stump was opened along a previous scar. It became apparent upon doing this that the entire distal tip of this amputation was involved with an extensive cyst formation. The cyst was excised completely. This resulted in redundant skin. Bone was debrided sharply. Wound was then irrigated and then closed after trimming of skin flaps.
