If a provider makes the decision for transfer to emergency room which level of risk would that be?
Additionally, what would be considered severe respiratory distress? Presents w/SOB, coughing sputum, initial O2 sats in 70's, nausea. Neb Tx in office Ipratropium-Albuterol.

This is going to depend on the outcome of the treatment. What was the O2 - after - the nebulizer treatment? Was it above 70? Below 70? What was the patient's condition going into the ER? We had a patient with O2 at 62 and dropping. She got wheeled straight to the ER. In all honesty it's not going to be high because your docs "punted" the ball per se after Neb Tx. My guess is that the patient was improved after the nebulizer. That's just a guess.
