Wiki Robicsek weave for sternal dehiscence

Anyone out there know what CPT code I would use for the above procedure? The pt is s/p aortic root replacement and CABG and the patient tore thru his sternum and the dr had to do this weave .

A. Code 21627 Closure of
median sternotomy separation with
or without debridement would be
the appropriate code with the -78
modifier. There is no additional
reimbursement for the Robicsek
weave, which involves an
additional parasternal, longitudinal
weaving wire (usually bilateral).
 
Yes, it would be 21750-78 Closure of median sternotomy with or without debridement.

CPT 21627 - Sternal debridement would not be the appropriate CPT code in this instance.
