When billing the new hernia codes that specifically state "any approach, (ie, open, laparoscopic, robotic)", would you still bill the S2900 code?
 
None of my carriers reimburse for S2900, so the providers that use it do it for tracking purposes only with $0 fee.
IF you are using S2900, I do not see any reason why it would not be appropriate to use with the new hernia repair codes.
