Our physicians have started using the ROSA Knee System when doing total knees. I was wondering if you can you bill a 20985 with 27447. I know the facility where they are performing these is billing the S-code (S2900). I am find conflicting information on this.

You could bill for it but depending on the payer it may be denied as experimental. It's a valid CPT add-on code. You would want to check with the payer policy. For example, I believe UHC Commercial finds it experimental so it would be denied. Depending on how your practice or provider tracks RVUs and how your claims go out you might be able to "code for it" to show the work but you may not get paid and could cause a denial if it goes out on the claim. In my prior experience it was not billable or payable for the pro-fee side.
