Open surgical revision, reported by CPT 43860 would be the comparator code. Alternatively, 43848 could be used.Does anyone code bariatric surgery, specifically the ROSE procedure. I know an unlisted code has to be used, but what would the comparison code be?
You have to offer a PROPOSED fee. I base it on a proportion of the open procedure, plus an extra factor for extra training/skill involved. That is worth something.I was considering both those codes but it's a lot of RVUs for an endoscopic procedure. I was thinking possibly endoscopic procedure with comparable complexity and time.
