I was asked by a supervisor to find out when a knee x-ray is done, is it Ok to add LT/RT modifier to distinguish which side was done. (ex. 73564-26-lt.) I have been adding the mod LT/RT for lower/upper extremity x-rays. So, should I add the modifier or not?
