:eek I need help coding rt ovarian bx. The patient was placed in the lithotomy position and peroneum was prepped with Betadine. A sterilely prepped transvaginal probe was inserted into the vagina and the ovary was identified. Utilizing U/S guidance, two 22 gauge FNA bx were obtained. A third 22-gauge needle was placed into the dominant ovarian cyst and approx., 4mL fluid was aspirated and sent to cytologic evaluation as well.
Successful rt ovarian bx and cyst aspiration was performed.
