Wiki Same Code Twice for same patient within same year

Does anyone know if I can use a 99223 initial hospital care code twice within the same year for a Medicare patient? my physician has seen this patient twice, once in January and again in May and I am not sure if I can use the same code twice...

Yes, you can use the inpatient codes more than once. The new vs established rules don't apply to inpatient stays.
