Can anyone tell me if it's acceptable for the Dr to state "non contributory" for an answer for family history as part of a response to satisfy PFSH?

Generally the answer will be no. Non-contributory is not accepted by most carrier. Minimally the expectation of Family history is:
If the family members current condition or cause of death is not medically necessary for the evaluation of the patient then it should not have weight in the leveling of the history. Example the following is part of the chart history when the patient presents:
and the patient is being seen for acute respiratory infection. In this case the status of the family health would be "non-contributory" and not weighed in when leveling for the history.
- Age of Parents and Sibling
- Cause of Death (if deceased)
- Current Health Status (if alive)

One other question. If a patient is referred for consultation, can the Dr begin treatment that same day, or is he to just evaluate, and state his findings, and recommendations, and agree or disagree to take responsibility for treating the patient, and begin treating the patient on the next appointment? I know that's a mouthful.
