Saved Imaging - New BX Codes

As 55708-55715 now have imaging included, if there are now saved images in the patient charts, how do we report this? CPT guidelines state that imaging must be saved, but our surgeons are stating that they are unable to do that with the MRI-FUSION method they are using.

The MRI images would be saved at whatever facility did the MRI - and if your provider is doing an MRI-fusion biopsy, they are likely doing it wherever the MRI was done, and would not be required to have those images in their "office" files for the patient to bill for an MRI-fusion prostate biopsy.
