my IR doctor used Doxycyline to "sclerotherize" a biopsy tract. A kidney biopsy was performed and he injected doxycycline into the biopsy tract in order to get it to close quickly. is there even a code for this? how would this be handled. I understand the renal biopsy coding but I haven't seen this done before and wonder if it's something new or if there is a code for it. please help me to understand what I need to do. thanks
