HI,
I get so confused with secondary. I billed 200
Primary allowed- $169.93
Paid- $135.94
Contractional obligation- $50.07
PR- $33.99 coinsurance
Secondary allowed- $180.40
Paid 27.06
contractional obligation $175.54- the impact of prior payer adjudication including payments and or adjustments
PR $27.06 coinsurance.

How do I apply secondary and what is the patient charged?
thanks

The patient would be billed $6.93.

Primary insurance left $33.99 coinsurance to patient. The secondary insurance paid $27.06 of that, leaving $6.93
remaining for the patient.
