I am confused:confused: My Surgeon has to redo sternotomy original done in 1986 not by him for constrictive pericarditis and a CABGX2 for CAD. As far as I can tell it seems like this would be part of the the CABG as they need to open the sternum for access to the heart to begin with. The only difference being the sternum was opened previously, which makes it more complex. Could I bill the CABG w/22 modifier? :confused:
